2 T. butter
2 T. flour
1 c. milk
½ t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
½ c. grated sharp cheese
Melt butter, stir in flour. Add milk, stirring until smooth. Cook until thick. Add salt, pepper, and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Serve over fresh cooked vegetables. This makes one and one-half cups sauce.
