Summer Chili

Serves 8
1 large onion, chopped
2 lb. ground beef
1 T. garlic powder
5 t. cumin
1 t. salt
1 t. pepper
4 c. cooked black beans
20 oz. frozen corn
1 c. uncooked parboiled rice
7 oz. salsa verde
3 1/2 c. chicken broth

Brown onion and beef. Add other ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 to 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
